 British Airways to increase flights to popular ski destinations

Details There is a good news as BA has announced it's increasing flights to two of its most popular European ski destinations this coming winter.

From December 18, the airline will increase the amount of weekly flights to both Salzburg in Austria and Turin in Italy. Now flights to Salzburg will increase to five a week and for turin it's ten a week. The extra return service to Turin  will operate on a Sunday and extra return services to Salzburg will operate on Thursday and Saturday. Both cities are popular destinations for ski holidays.

New Fares can include online check in and also the ability to select seating upto 24 hours before departure. There will be no debit card fees on card bookings and with 23kg of checked in luggage also an item of hand luggage are allowed.

Both Turin and Salzburg provide the chance for skiing and for general exploration of the surrounding areas. Turin is well-liked  for its buildings and museums, all steeped in native history. Tourists can stay their to see armoury and art museums, royal palaces and churches. Salzburg also offers fly-drive packages, rolling hills and also the picturesque Alpine in addition to it visitors often enjoy touring the filming locations for the famous ‘Sound of Music’ film.

Sophie McKinstrie, British Airways Gatwick, said: “These routes are already very popular with winter travellers and skiers in particular, so we have taken the opportunity to boost our winter schedule with the extra flights.”
